What can I do there?

It may come as a suprise to you, but, in the peaceful area of Moidart and Ardnamurchan, there is much on offer for those looking for things to do. There's plenty of places to see and things to do, and these include:

  • Mountain Biking
  • Hiking
  • Fishing
  • Hunting
  • Sightseeing
  • Shooting
  • Exploring the Area
  • Walking Moidart
  • Watching the Wildlife
  • Relaxing on the Beach
  • And many more...
  • However, certain areas of the Highlands have a risk factor which must be taken into account for your own safety, and that is deer-stalking with high-powered rifles. The season runs from 1 July to 15 February but most activity takes place in July and August. Most estates do operate a recorded message service (Click here for telephone numbers) to tell walkers where stalking will be taking place, or you can usually talk to the local 'Gamie' who will be happy to help you - he doesn't want to shoot visitors! Also please remember that not everyone loves your dog as much as you do, and that there are sheep and cattle everywhere, so keep dogs on leads at all times.
